Intial Wallpaper Designs

After selecting our logo we had to come up with wallpaper designs that could be used in our business's store. Here are some of my early designs.

The yellow and green one at the top got the best reaction from the class and is the one that I will go off of to make some more wallpaper iterations.

Logo Selection

From one of my sketches I created a digital version of my logo. I also created another logo (shown below) but the one above received more positive feedback from the class.

JA Logo Sketches

We were randomly assigned two letters in class and had to come up with a fictitious brand to go along with them. I came up with the company "Junior Athletes" which sells cheap, basic clothing for kids. Also like an Old Navy. Here are my initial sketches for the project:

Type Specimen Poster

The coordinating poster to go along with our dot matrix typeface has to include the font's name, A-Z, and our name as the designer. The assignment sheet said to create a simple poster so I am hoping to get some positive feedback in class tomorrow.

Form&Comm Visual Statement Photos

For our first project in form and comm we had to take photos that were visual statements of ourselves. It was basically just a mini project to get our brains flowing after summer.

Form & Comm Journal

For a semester long assignment we have to keep a sketchbook/journal that has a running theme through it. I am going to illustrate design quotes for my theme. This is entry number one.

Type III - Dot Matrix Typeface Exploration

For this project we have to find an existing grid and either add or subtract elements to create a letterform. We need to have a minimum of 5 for Wednesday, but if I can come up with more than 5 I am sure that would be good...
