Painted these letters that I got from the BFA show for my Delaware house. I am still trying to identify the font, so far no luck...

Process - More Font Variations
I am really liking the light version of my font that I have created. I am confident that I can find a way to incorporate them both into my type specimen book.
I have also been experimenting with adding other elements to my dropcap and adding illustration to my book:

Inspiration
A week ago in Philadelphia I took this picture of a parking sign because I really liked the font it used. I did some investigation and found out that this font was Insignia:
While I liked some elements of this font, there were a lot of things that I didn't like. I decided to take the elements that I liked and incorporate them into my font.
More Type Process

Mike Abbink has a lot of interesting projects on his website. I thought this one in particular that he did as a proposal for a branding of New York City was particularly applicable to our type specimen book project.

CMYK Sighting
I found these CMYK stickers plastered to a pole while waiting at a stoplight in Philadelphia. As a nerdy artist I thought they were pretty cool, the other passengers in the car did not understand...

While looking through an old issue of Time I found this portrait composed of type:
I looked up the artist, Dylan Roscover, and discovered that he had done a similar portrait of Steve Jobs for an Apple campaign:
